Remembering Julie E. Hagan. Savannah Branch Manager. 10/7/75 - 9/1/19

Update, 9/9/19:

Savannah Branch will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10th, will be an emotional and solemn day for the family and friends of Julie and Danny Hagan as they are laid to rest. As a gesture of respect for the Hagan family, the Savannah Branch office of Powerco Federal Credit Union will not open tomorrow. The closing will allow us time to provide emotional support for the Hagan family and our credit union family.

Powerco's call center will remain open during normal operating hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (eastern time). Savannah members are encouraged to call us at 1-800-633-5217 if you need assistance during the closure. We will have representatives available to graciously assist you with your financial needs. Current plans are for the Savannah Branch to reopen at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11th.

Julie was a cherished Powerco Federal Credit Union employee for over 22 years and was the manager of the credit union's Savannah Branch. Julie and her husband, Danny, lost their lives in a tragic automobile accident on Sunday, September 1st. The Hagans were on their way home from a whirlwind vacation to celebrate their 25th Anniversary and to see their beloved Georgia Southern University Eagles play the Louisiana State University Tigers in Baton Rouge.

Funeral services for Julie and Danny will be held Tuesday, September 10th, at Countryside Baptist Church located at 1201 Noel C. Conaway Road in Guyton, Ga. The services will begin at 11 a.m., eastern time. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Savannah.

Visitation will be tonight, Monday, Sept. 9th,  from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church.

Baker McCullough Funeral Home in Garden City is in charge of arrangements. Those who wish to leave online condolence messages for Julie's family can do so on the funeral home's website

Hagan Kids Fund Surpasses First Goal

Powerco Federal Credit Union extends its gratitude to the many who have contributed to the Hagan Kids Fund, the education fund for the children of longtime credit union employee, the late Julie E. Hagan. Thanks to your generous donations, we have surpassed our first goal and we are well on our way to reaching a second goal of $10,000.00.

Julie and Danny Hagan leave behind three children -- all of whom are currently attending Georgia Southern University. Powerco Federal Credit Union has established a GoFundMe account with all funds earmarked for the future education of the Hagan children.
