eStatement FAQs

Q: What are eStatements?
A: eStatements are an electronic version of your monthly and quarterly account statements. They include detailed activity of your Powerco Federal Credit Union savings, checking, and loan accounts. You are able to view, print and save (to your computer hard drive) your current and historical eStatements right from within Online Banking. You will receive your eStatements much quicker than paper statements sent through “snail mail.”

Q: What are the benefits of eStatements?
A: eStatements provide many benefits, including quicker and more secure delivery of your confidential financial information. They are also more economical, convenient and eco-friendly.
Q: How much does Powerco Federal Credit Union’s eStatement service cost?
A: eStatements are provided at no cost to members.
Q: How do I signup for eStatements?
A: Step-by-step enrollment instructions are available here.
Q: What accounts are eligible for eStatements?
A: All savings, checking and money market accounts are eligible for eStatements.
Q: What is required to sign up for eStatements?
A: Signing up for eStatements requires enrollment in Online Banking. Please refer to the self enrollment guide for Online Banking to enroll in that service if you are not already enrolled.
Q: How do I view my eStatement?
A: To view your eStatement, log onto Online Banking. Click on the “Online Statements” tab at the top of the page. Then click on the “Enter” by the eStatement folder icon. You will be presented with an eStatement menu. Select the “View Your Statement” button next to the date you wish to view. A minimum of six months statement history is available.
Q: Does my eStatement contain the same information as my paper statement?
A: Yes. Your eStatement contains the same information as your paper statement. The document itself is a Portable Document Format (PDF) version of your paper statement and looks exactly like the paper statements you are currently receiving. Marketing materials and special notifications from the credit union that are usually enclosed with your monthly statement are also available. You can access these materials via links on the left side of the eStatement screen.
Additionally, when viewed within your Internet browser, eStatements have added functionality that is not available with a traditional account statement from Powerco. By clicking the magnifying glass icon to the right of each check number, you can easily view, print and save individual cleared check images. Note: This feature is only available within your browser window. Once saved to your hard drive or disk as a PDF, this feature is not available. For this reason, you should either print or save any check images you may need for future reference.
Q: How often will I receive an eStatement?
A: eStatements will cycle at the same frequency (monthly or quarterly) as your paper statements.
Q: When will my eStatement be available?
A: In most cases, eStatements are available within 48 hours of your normal cutoff date. This would be several days before your paper statement would normally arrive in the mail.
Q: Why am I required to update my email address periodically?
A: Your correct email address is necessary for Powerco to send you a monthly reminder that your online statement is available. To change your email address, select the “Settings” button in the upper left corner of the eStatement screen.
Q: Will my eStatement be available in Online Banking if for some reason I don’t receive my email reminder?
A: Yes. Your eStatement and email reminder are independent of each other. If you do not receive your reminder, your eStatement will still be available through Online Banking.
Q: Do I need special software to view my eStatement?
A: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software to view and print your eStatement. The Adobe Acrobat Reader program is a separate utility that can be downloaded for free.
Q: How do I print my eStatement?
A: If you are viewing your statement within your browser window, you first need to click the "Printer Friendly Version" button at the top right of your screen. This will open a new window and the PDF of your entire statement will automatically load. Once loaded, the Adobe Acrobat Reader software allows you to print the entire statement or separate pages by clicking on the printer icon located at the top of the Reader program screen.
Q: How do I save my eStatement?
A: Your historical eStatements will be available for up to six months. After six months, they may be purged. However, your eStatement may be saved to your hard drive for future reference. From your Internet browser window, click on the "Printer Friendly Version" button at the top right of your screen. This will open a new window and the PDF of your entire statement will automatically load. Once loaded, select the “Save” (diskette) icon located at the top of your Adobe Reader screen. Navigate to the directory on your hard drive where you would like to save your eStatement. Accept the default file name or rename the file and click the “Save” button.
Q: Can I receive a paper statement and an eStatement?
A: No. By signing up for eStatements, you waive the monthly receipt of a paper statement. Powerco Federal Credit Union can provide you with a paper copy of any historical statement you require in person or by mail. To obtain a paper copy of a statement, you will need to request it in person at one of our branches or call us at (404) 506-3750 or 1-800-633-5217. A written request may be sent to Powerco Federal Credit Union, 241 Ralph McGill Boulevard, NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.
Q: Can I receive the statement(s) of my joint account?
A: For legal reasons, statements must be delivered to the primary account holder only.
Q: Is my eStatement secure?
A: Yes. Our Online Banking has the highest standard of privacy protection available. All transactions and eStatements are secured with multiple layers of encryption, firewalls, screening and filter routers. All security measures used exceed industry standards in protecting the confidentiality and safety of your financial information.
Q: Can I have my eStatement emailed to me instead of viewing it through Online Banking?
A: No. For security purposes, eStatements can only be viewed within the security of our Online Banking platform.
Q: How long will my eStatements be available for viewing?
A: Your first eStatement will be available the first month after you signup. Historical eStatements will be available for viewing for up to six months, after which time they are purged.
Q: Does eStatements require a separate password from Online Banking?
A: No. eStatements does not require its own password. Your Online Banking password is all you will need.
Q: What if I want to cancel eStatements?
A: You can cancel eStatements at any time with a 30 day advance notification if you wish to revert back to paper statements. To do so, click on the “Settings” button in the upper left corner of the eStatement home screen. You will need to enter your email address and check the box next to “send statement via U.S. Mail.” Select “Continue” to finalize the change. Q: Can I have my eStatement email reminder sent to more than one email address?
A: No. We can only send your eStatement reminder to the eStatement email address you have on file.
Q: How do I notify the credit union if my email address changes?
A: You can change your email address at any time via the “Settings” button within eStatements. Otherwise, you will periodically be prompted to verify your email address. If you need assistance with this process, you can call us at (404) 506-3750 or 1-800-633-5217.
Q: Why can’t I find a specific eStatement that I’m looking for?
A: If you can’t find a statement that you are seeking, it could be due to one of the following reasons: a statement date prior to enrolling to eStatements, a statement date of the current month, a statement date in the future, or a statement that has exceeded the time limit for online storage and has been purged.
Q: Can my eStatement information be exported to other programs?
A: No. eStatements are produced as PDF files and cannot be imported into other programs. But you can view and save the PDF file as needed.
Q: What do I do if I'm having trouble viewing my statement?
A: Here are some things that can be helpful to you in troubleshooting problems you may have with viewing your eStatement.
Changes to your computer's operating system software such as upgrades, downloads and/or system enhancements can affected your computer's ability to connect with secure websites.
We recommend you try the following steps:
  • Verify that you are current on all Windows updates. From the Start menu, click on Windows Update and download recommended updates and patches, then shut down and restart your computer.
  • Un-install and re-install Macromedia Flash Player.
  • Un-install and re-install Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Some pop-up blockers and firewall programs may prevent access to eStatements. If you utilize these types of applications, you may need to disable certain features of the programs in order to access your eStatements.
Q: What are the required computer specifications?
A: To receive eStatements from Powerco Federal Credit Union, you computer hardware, software and your Internet service provider (ISP) must meet the following specifications:
  • Apple OS X or above (Ten, "Tiger", "Leopard")
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 (SP2) or above
  • Firefox 2 or above
  • Safari 3 or above
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Valid email address
